Job: Housekeeper/Houseman/Laundry Attendant

We are seeking professional housekeepers, housemen, and laundry attendants to join the housekeeping team at the Surf Hotel & Chateau, a new one-of-a-kind property located in beautiful South Main, Buena Vista, CO. This opportunity to work at the newest and highest-rated hotel in Chaffee County comes with competitive pay, fun employee perks, and a great team that continually creates positive guest experiences. The goal of our new hires is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and building our reputation.

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
• Notify supervisor of any damaged items.
• Deal with complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Monitor stock levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

Laundry Attendant Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laundry activities such as separating laundry, load washing machine and dryer, folding, stacking linens and towels.
• Ensure all linens and towels are cared for and inspected according to our standards.
• Maintain minimal machine maintenance.
• Notify supervisor of any linen damage or defects.
• Check stock levels of linens and towels.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

Housemen Responsibilities:

• Strip guest rooms of dirty dishes, linens, and trash.
• Clean and restock the guest coffee stations and restock fresh linens in the rooms.
• Perform mid-stay cleans in guest rooms.
• Restock and clean the housekeeping closets.
• Take dirty laundry bins to the laundry room and sort for the laundry attendants.
• Take trash out to dumpsters.
• Assist your assigned housekeeper.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE HOUSING AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Proven experience as a cleaner / housekeeper / houseman / laundry attendant.
• Clean appearance.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with little supervision at times and maintain a high level of performance.
• Team player.
• Customer-oriented and friendly.
• Prioritization and time management skills.
• Working quickly without compromising quality.
• Knowledge of English language.

Compensation

• $17-20/hour - Pay based on experience.
• 401k program + employer match

Hours per week:
20 to 40 depending on skill level and availability.
