Job Responsibilities

  • Clean all patient rooms utilizing the seven-step method of cleaning.
  • Responsible for cleaning of mop buckets, maid's cart, and any other equipment that may need to be cleaned.
  • Clean other hospital departments per cleaning schedule.
  • Clean isolation areas according to protocols.
  • Empty wastebaskets, and take trash to the dumpster.
  • Have the knowledge and ability to work in laundry and clinic, if needed.
  • Have the knowledge and ability to work any schedule in the Housekeeping Department.

Qualifications

Education Requirements and Other Requirements: High school graduate, some college preferred, but not required.

Education Level: High school

Certification/Licensure:. None

Experience Requirements: 1 year of experience in institutional cleaning preferred, but not required.
