Job summary

Kadima Healthcare Group in New Wilmington, PA seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to provide a safe, clean environment for residents. You will join a compassionate team, meeting federal and local standards, with a focus on attentive service and a friendly demeanor.

Shifts run 6:00am-2:00pm, 7:00am-3:00pm, or 8:00am-4:00pm. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and more; daily, weekly, and bi-weekly pay options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and provide attentive customer service.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident rooms by cleaning fixtures, removing trash, and overall sanitation.
• Move furniture to dry and wet mop floors; use wet floor signs.
• Dust and clean furniture and fixtures in resident areas.
• Perform terminal cleaning upon transfer, discharge, or death.
• Clean and organize utility rooms; polish hardware weekly.
• Shine chrome doorplates and handles weekly or as needed.
• Submit maintenance requests to supervisor.
• Maintain facility appearance and elevator cleanliness.
• Provide emergency housekeeping as needed.
• Restock and manage a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart.

Job Description

The Housekeeper provides a safe and clean environment for our residents. Meets all federal, state, and local requirements. As part of our Housekeeping team you will assist in meeting the residents needs, team player, conscientious, detail oriented, friendly personality, able to walk/stand for long periods of time, with good customer service skills. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains resident rooms by cleaning restroom, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, dusting, washing windows, removing trash, etc.
• Moves furniture in order to dry and wet mop floors. Uses wet floor signs to mark wet floors
• Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures, except smoke detectors, in the following areas: resident room, isolation rooms, nursing stations, day rooms, and shower rooms, using various cleaners, disinfectant chemicals
• Terminal cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death
• Cleans clean and soiled utility rooms
• Shines chrome doorplate and handles at least weekly or as needed
• Fills out maintenance request slips and turns them into supervisor
• Maintains facility appearance.
• Cleans and polishes elevator as needed
• Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur
• Restocks and maintains a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart.

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
