Job summary

Kadima Healthcare in Canonsburg, PA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in Health Care to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in resident rooms and shared spaces, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents while meeting applicable regulations.

You will handle routine housekeeping duties, contribute to infection control, and support the care team by maintaining clean facilities, floors, surfaces and common areas in a compassionate, respectful setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains resident rooms by cleaning restroom, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, dusting, washing windows, removing trash, etc.
• Moves furniture in order to dry and wet mop floors. Uses wet floor signs to mark wet floors
• Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures in resident rooms, isolation rooms, nursing stations, day rooms, and shower rooms, using cleaners and disinfectants
• Terminal cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death
• Restocks and maintains a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart.

Housekeeper (Health Care) - The primary purpose of this position is to implement required housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost effective manner meeting all federal, state, and local requirements while providing a safe environment for our residents.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains resident rooms by cleaning restroom, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, dusting, washing windows, removing trash, etc.
• Moves furniture in order to dry and wet mop floors. Uses wet floor signs to mark wet floors
• Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures, except smoke detectors, in the following areas: resident room, isolation rooms, nursing stations, day rooms, and shower rooms, using various cleaners, disinfectant chemicals
• Terminal cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death
• Cleans clean and soiled utility rooms
• Shines chrome doorplate and handles at least weekly or as needed
• Fills out maintenance request slips and turns them into supervisor
• Maintains facility appearance by dusting and cleaning furniture and fixtures, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, stairwells, mirrors, removing trash, washing windows in main lobby, office, staff and resident lounges, beauty shop, resident dining rooms, housekeeping storage rooms, public restroom and hallways, etc.
• Cleans and polishes elevator as needed
• Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur
• Restocks and maintains a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart.

Education and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
