Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Housekeeper HCC to provide cleaning services that create a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents and staff in a Florida facility.

The role involves sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom and surface cleaning, and adhering to infection control standards while following center procedures.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Healthcare housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors, and may spray buff or wax floors following center procedures.
• Vacuum carpets in rooms as applicable.
• Empty trash cans, clean interior and exterior, and replace with a clean liner.
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets per center procedures.
• Clean glass surfaces (mirrors, pictures, windows).
• Clean behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follow infection control standards during cleaning.
• Prevent or remove wax and dirt buildup in corners, baseboards and doorways.
• Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Remove and re-hang curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder.
• Dust and damp-clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills).
• Move furniture to access behind/underneath areas per center procedures.

Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides cleaning services to provide a safe sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services provided are in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors.May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for the outside windows, using a ladder.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• None, on-the-job training is provided

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
