Job Function: Skilled Trades & Construction
Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors. Keep resident rooms and bathrooms clean. Ensure handrails are clean and debris-free. Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and towel dispensers of dust, dirt, or food. Empty trash cans and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors. Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of residents' reach. Use supplies and equipment safely, following user manual instructions. Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean, and organized manner. Immediately report resident safety issues to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing. Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude. Exhibit strong time management skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Regularly sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read, or hear. Use of office equipment and housekeeping supplies daily. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
