Job summary

VNA of Florida is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for Grand Oaks of Okeechobee ALF. You will maintain a sanitary environment, perform cleaning tasks, and ensure infection control standards to enhance resident well-being and safety.

This role requires reliability, independence, and a compassionate approach to care, with the ability to manage cleaning duties efficiently in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Includes sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, washing, scouring, mopping and sanitizing designated areas.
• Must be able to move furniture and equipment as necessary to clean using proper body mechanics.
• Responsible for daily disposal of trash and safe handling of cleaning solvents following infection control procedures.

What You'll Do

• Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection free condition through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings, giving constant attention to detail without disturbing the residents.
• This includes but not limited to sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, washing, scouring, mopping and sanitizing designated areas.
• Must be able to move furniture and equipment as necessary to clean using proper body mechanics.
• Responsible for daily disposal of trash, and be able to use various cleaning solvents in a safe manor using universal precautions and infection control procedures of Grand Oaks of Okeechobee.
