Job Description
The Housekeeper maintains cleanliness in resident apartments and common areas as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Maintenance Director. This is a non-exempt, hourly position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide housekeeping services in resident apartments by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and laundering linens.
• Keep common areas clean and sanitized.
• Handle and store all cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director.
• Immediately report safety issues such as broken glass, water leaks, or broken locks.
• Participate in scheduled in-service training.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and community policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Dependable and responsible.
• Ability to communicate with residents.

Physical Abilities:

• Stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell frequently.
• Lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and support residents as needed, using proper body mechanics.
