Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites you to join our Environmental Services team as a Housekeeper on the evening shift. This full-time role cleans patient and public spaces, ensuring infection control, safety, and comfort for patients and staff.

You will work 40 hours per week with a rotating weekend schedule and receive comprehensive benefits, mentorship, and growth opportunities in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months hospital/hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication; able to work independently and adapt to rotating weekends and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas per procedure to meet infection control and safety guidelines (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash, linen, sinks, bathrooms, and beds).
• Replenish supplies on carts and in areas for the next shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and report any broken items to supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work hours

Full-Time, 40 hours, Evening Shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Rotating Schedule, includes working every weekend for the first 90 days of employment. Work rotating weekends after 90 days of employment.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience highly preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working. independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments. Able to work around housekeeping chemicals.

What You Will Do

• Clean assigned area(s) according to procedure to meet established infection control, sanitation and safety guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, pulling trash, pulling dirty linen, cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers and beds.
• Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare work area for next service period.
• Responsible for keeping all equipment clean and reporting all broken equipment to the supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
