Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility operated within Universal Health Services, Inc. This role supports the hospital’s cleanliness and orderly environment to ensure safe patient care.

The Housekeeper will clean offices, patient rooms, common areas, and other spaces, operating cleaning equipment safely. Training on chemical use and safety is provided; additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience a plus, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Must be able to use housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, battery operated equipment, mops and carpet equipment; Reading and Numerical competency;
• Customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Cleans offices, patient rooms, offices, classrooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other areas that may require attention.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
• Will be required to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per given standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Description:
