Job summary

National Church Residences in Columbus, OH is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to perform general housekeeping and laundry duties across common areas, with an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule.

Under supervision, you will maintain cleanliness and safety, following organization policies and OSHA guidelines to support residents and staff. The role requires high school completion or GED and the ability to speak, read and write English. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, dust, and vacuum all common areas.
• Clean and deodorize bathrooms; restock toilet paper and towels.
• Polish/clean furniture, fixtures, and window ledges.

• Assist with maintaining common areas and grounds in good repair and safety.
• Clean office equipment and perform general cleanup in social and common areas.
• Ensure clean laundry for the facility; process soiled linens to wash and dry; fold and distribute clean linen.
• Hang personal laundry on carts and deliver to wings.
• Assist with move in/out cleaning schedules and respond to safety/cleanliness requests.

Job Description:Housekeeper - Full-Time - (8a-4:30p)PURPOSEAccording to the prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable federal, state, local and accreditation regulations and under the general supervision of the Director of Environmental Services/Maintenance is responsible for performing general housekeeping and laundry assignments, cleaning and maintaining the appearance of assigned common areas.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible for performing all duties assigned by the supervisor in a timely manner while adhering to all safety precautions and OSHA regulations.Duties to perform include but are not limited to: emptying trash, dusting, and vacuuming thoroughly all common areas; cleans and deodorizes bathrooms, replaces toilet paper and paper towels; polishes/cleans furniture, fixtures, and window ledges; mops floor areas.Assists with maintaining common areas and grounds; ensuring they are in good repair, clean and free of trash and safety hazards, and conducting assigned preventative maintenance.Cleans office equipment, performs general clean-up in social areas and common areas. such as hallways, break rooms, conference roomsAssures clean laundry for the facility. Processes all soiled linens to wash and dry. Folds and distributes clean linen. Delivers all linens on a timely basis.Keeps washers and dryers clean and free of lint. Keeps the laundry area and the linen closets clean and orderly at all times. Monitors laundry supplies.Hangs personal laundry on carts and delivers to each wing (delivers to residents closets, where applicable). Assures clean laundry for the facility. Processes all soiled linens to wash and dry. Folds and distributes clean linen.
