Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain clean patient rooms, clinical areas, offices, and common areas. You will follow disinfection procedures and safety protocols while supporting a welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include linen replacement, stocking bathrooms, waste disposal, and completing tasks using checklists. Regional travel is required; own transportation is needed. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED and First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and replace linens in client bedrooms following discharge according to prescribed timeframes.
  • Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries and other supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in proper receptacles.
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner using checklists to communicate completeness.
  • Uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
  • Observes safety precautions.
  • Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.
  • Maintains high quality standards when performing work duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Creates and maintains a welcoming environment for all clients, staff, and visitors by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, clinical areas, nursing units, offices, waiting areas, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Licensure, Education, & Experience (All States)

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Housekeeping experience preferred
  • Current CPR, AED and First Aid, preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position will require regional travel. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation. Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment. Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
