Job summary

Iredell Health System in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean and service hospital areas and buildings. You will organize spaces, arrange furniture, and ensure storage areas are tidy and compliant with safety standards.

No patient health information access is required; training is provided on the job. The shift starts at 8 AM and includes every weekend, with responsibilities that include stocking supplies and handling cleaning chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Employees receive on-the-job training.
• Must know how to use cleaning equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaner).
• Ability to clean blood and body fluids.
• Ability to clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors.
• Must replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly.

Job description

The Housekeeper cleans and services all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital. They arrange furniture in an organized and orderly fashion. They keep all equipment and storage areas clean and organized. Has no access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.
Shift: 8 AM Start, including every weekend

Physical Requirements
