Keeping focus on our core values, we strive each day to ensure that our residents remain connected and purposeful.GENERAL PURPOSE:To be part of a vibrant team devoted to delivering a unique and enjoyable customer service experience for our residents and visitors.RESPONSIBILITIES:Clean resident suites according to schedule, including but not limited to:vacuum carpetsspot-clean carpets as necessaryclean ceilings and walls as necessary (e.g., removing cobwebs)dust furniture, shelves, light fixtures, and other surfacesclean bathroom, including shower stall, sink, toilet, counter, and floorclean kitchenette, including sink, counter, refrigerator, and floordefrost refrigerator as necessaryremove trashremove and launder bed linens and towelsreplace bed linens and towelsclean windows as necessaryAssist in Annual Suite Service of resident suites according to schedule.Clean community common areas to schedule, including but not limited to:vacuum carpetsspot-clean carpets as necessarymop floorsclean ceilings and walls as necessary (e.g. removing cobwebs)dust furniture, shelves, light fixtures, and other surfacesclean restrooms including sinks, toilets, counters, and floorsremove trashclean windows as necessaryDeep clean community common areas according to schedule.Effectively collaborate with team members to improve resident and family experience.Attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services and team member meetings as requested.Perform other duties as assigned by Environmental Services Director.SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:Must be at least 18 years old.Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Meet state or provincial health related requirements.Maintain any certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.Desire to work with older adults and their familiesProjects a positive and professional image at all times.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Physical Demands include: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Bending, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling, Climbing Stairs, Grasping, Manual Dexterity, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Vision Acuity, Color Vision, Talking, and Hearing.The weight determined to be appropriate for a Housekeeper to lift with or without reasonable accommodations is up to 50 lbs.EXPOSURE RISK CLASSIFICATION:May perform unplanned tasks involving exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissue which may contain AIDS, HIV, and Hepatitis A, B, and C viruses.
