Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.

Our acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or another disabling condition. We offer advanced treatment for a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and back injuries. All patients will experience private rooms, have access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and receive personalized care from our qualified staff.

Responsibilities

This Housekeeper opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. This position is for our New Rehab Hospital located in Northwest Reno. We are looking for a dynamic Floor Care Technician to clean and maintain all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility. Performs preventive maintenance on special floor equipment. Participates in the department's continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs cleaning and maintenance of all floors; carpets, tile, concrete and brick flooring.
  • Performs restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas.
  • Performs assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
  • Operates and maintains all equipment correctly and safely.

Qualifications

One to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hospital experience is preferred but not required.
