Stone Bridge Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Sandy Hook, CT invites you to join our Housekeeping / Environmental Services team. This entry-level role helps create a clean, healing environment for residents, guests and staff. You’ll perform daily cleaning tasks and support a safe, comfortable living space.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens and shared spaces.
• Dispose of trash and waste appropriately.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with staff to maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and buffing machines.

What You\'ll Do:

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms

What You\'ll Bring:

Qualifications of a Housekeeper include:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
