Job summary

The Chesapeake - LifeSpire is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for a full-time role in Newport News, VA. The schedule is 7:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities including cleaning resident spaces and common areas to support a compassionate living environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, logging records, and following infection control and safety policies while contributing to a supportive team that serves our residents with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
• Must work well in a team and independently.
• Ability to multi-task and collaborate with others.
• Proficiency in using a computer.
• May be required to drive a car or golf cart; valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and cleans resident living spaces, nurses’ stations, and common areas per established procedures.
• Maintains supplies of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Maintains appropriate logs and records in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Complies with infection control, hazardous waste removal, and other safety guidelines.
