Job summary

LifeSpire of Virginia, Inc. is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain clean and safe living spaces for residents in Newport News.

The schedule is 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, emphasizing teamwork, attention to detail, and respectful service. Responsibilities include cleaning resident living areas, common spaces, and facilities, restocking supplies, maintaining logs, and complying with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.
• Ability to multi-task and collaborate.
• Ability to use a computer.
• May require driving a car or golf cart; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and cleans resident living spaces, nurses’ stations, common areas, lounges, break rooms, offices, corridors, elevators, stairways, and entrances according to procedure.
• Maintains supplies of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Maintains appropriate logs and records in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Complies with infection control, hazardous waste removal, and other safety precautions, guidelines and policies.
