Job summary

Summary

The Housekeeper creates and maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors by performing routine environmental services throughout the facility. This position is responsible for cleaning client rooms, clinical and administrative areas, common spaces, restrooms, and other designated areas while following infection prevention, safety, and organizational standards to support quality patient care and facility operations.

Sunday -Thursday - Days Off: Friday and Saturday - 8:00am to 4:30pm

$15/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean client rooms and replace linens following discharge in accordance with established procedures and required timeframes.
  • Stock bathrooms and other designated areas with clean linens, toiletries, and required supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks accurately and timely using established checklists and documentation tools.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with manufacturer instructions and company procedures.
  • Observe and follow all safety procedures and practices.
  • Follow all infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality while performing assigned duties.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
  • Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds and seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This position primarily operates in behavioral healthcare treatment facilities and office environments. Regular cleaning of client rooms, clinical areas, offices, common areas, and restrooms is required. Employees routinely work with cleaning chemicals, housekeeping equipment, and infection prevention supplies. Local or regional travel may be required based on operational needs, and employees may be required to provide reliable transportation. Employees may be exposed to communicable illnesses and emotionally sensitive or traumatic situations while performing the essential functions of the position.
