Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of housekeeping duties focusing on proper floor cleaning to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment. This is a full-time, third shift position, Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with benefits.
Characteristic Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Strip, clean, and buff floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools such as buffers, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for cleaning and maintenance.
- Wash interior and exterior windows and clean blinds.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established procedures.
- Dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; empty trash; refill restroom dispensers.
- Check and change light bulbs; keep fixtures clean.
- Perform duties around campus facilities, assist with setup and takedown for events, and work with staff and the public to meet custodial needs.
- Wash walls and equipment, following OSHA and safety procedures.
- Lock/unlock buildings, secure premises, and report security issues.
- Follow safety instructions for cleaning materials and supplies.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Handle trash and recyclables properly.
- Participate in institutional activities and community outreach to embody LECOM's mission.
- Maintain punctuality and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of custodial experience, preferably in a school setting.
