Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a dedicated housekeeper/floor crew member to support patient care areas, surgical spaces and administrative suites. The role involves cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining stock, and assisting the department to ensure a safe, orderly environment for patients and staff.

Experience in institutional housekeeping is preferred. Candidates should be able to read and follow instructions, demonstrate a positive attitude, and uphold high personal hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in an institutional setting is preferred.
• Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instruction and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and floor care tasks including between-case surgical cleaning.
• Maintain clean, safe patient care areas, surgical areas, offices and administrative suites.
• Restock supplies and provide support to the department as needed.

Job Description The housekeeper/floor crew performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks from housekeeping to floor care, including between case surgical cleaning. Provides housekeeping support to patient care area, surgical areas, physician areas, office and administrative suites. Maintains a clean, safe environment for staff, customers, visitors, and patients. Ensures comprehensive cleaning as prescribed by department and in accordance with regulatory practices and procedures. Maintains stock and supplies. Provides other support to the department as needed.

Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience Previous housekeeping experience in an institutional setting is preferred.

Qualifications Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instruction and established procedures. Must possess a positive attitude and display excellent customer interactions. Must have exemplary personal hygiene and appearance.
