Job summary

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least one year of housekeeping or laundry experience. Certification requirements include ABC 101 and TB testing within the specified timelines, with ongoing re-certification as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
• ABC 101 certification and annual meetings.
• Must obtain TB test within 14 days of employment and annually after that.
• Maintain current certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleaning and sanitation of assigned facility area.
• Learns cleaning and maintenance of other facility areas.
• Uses and stores cleaning chemicals safely and labels chemicals properly.
• Cleans and secures cleaning carts and equipment.
• Maintains proper storage and labeling of chemicals.
• Adapts schedule to department staffing needs.
• Disposes of trash, waste, and disposables.
• Cleans resident rooms, corridors, lobby, and dining areas.
• Operates housekeeping equipment like vacuums and carpet cleaners.
• Cleans lights, vents, walls, and windows.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
