Job Summary:

The housekeeper cleans vacant units in preparation for marketing and occupancy and property common areas, offices, and models’ units. The housekeeper reports to maintenance or the business manager and works closely with the maintenance staff.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans the property business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments, and property common areas on a defined schedule.
• Cleans vacant apartment units in preparation for showing and occupancy.
• Reports maintenance problems to the supervisor.
• Assists with inventory control.
• Performs duties using safety guidelines and reports obstacles to safety.
• Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepares units for new move-ins, checks appliances, and informs Lead Maintenance of issues.
• Creates keys when necessary.
• Inspects bathroom tiles and performs minor repairs and replacements.
• Changes A/C filters.
• Operates carpet cleaning equipment to clean carpets.
• Lends assistance during trash-out, e.g., moving heavy/bulky items to the dumpster.

Requirements

• Maintains a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work on call (as necessary or during emergencies) and extended hours (including after-hours and weekends).
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, climb, and stoop for up to 8 hours or more if needed.
• Ability to walk the property for up to 8 hours (or more) in various weather conditions.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed.
