Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.

Responsibilities
  1. Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
  2. Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
  3. Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
  4. Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  5. Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for the next day’s use.
  6. Replenish chemical bottles.
  7. Report all missing items from rooms (e.g., irons, hair dryers) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  8. Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  9. Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
  10. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
