Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Housekeeper/Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform a variety of cleaning duties, operate housekeeping equipment, and ensure infection control standards are followed during patient room turnover.

The role emphasizes adherence to policy, quality assurance, and participation in ongoing training and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Less than high school.
• Less than one year experience in housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Dusts furniture, woodwork, and equipment; mops floors and cleans fixtures in all areas as needed.
• Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways, and public areas; operates mechanical housekeeping equipment.
• Moves furniture as needed to perform cleaning procedures; buffs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Removes waste and soiled linens from work areas according to established procedures.
• Performs cleaning procedures in patient rooms and prepares rooms for the next occupant; follows isolation procedures when cleaning isolation rooms.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
