We are hiring a Full-Time Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) in Boise!

Shift Information: This position works on the day shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, plus every other weekend) at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

About This Position: As a Housekeeper at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will play a significant role in creating a positive experience for patients and their families. Your responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting hospital areas to maximize infection prevention, enhance patient safety, and improve visual appeal. You will also prepare patient rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning floors, making beds, and performing other related tasks. Additionally, housekeepers collect, store, and dispose of medical-related items from patient treatment areas and may perform project work such as carpet and refrigerator cleaning.

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, trainable, and friendly. They must maintain confidentiality, understand cleaning chemicals, and adhere to safety standards. They should be comfortable working around blood and bodily fluids with appropriate personal protective equipment. The role requires frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.

General Requirements:

• Effective communication with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to provide directions, information, and services as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate via telephone, and coordinate with peers on task priorities.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
