Job Summary

The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning vacant units in preparation for marketing and occupancy, as well as property common areas, offices, and model units. The role reports to maintenance or the business manager and collaborates closely with the maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

1. Clean the property office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments, and common areas on a scheduled basis.
2. Prepare vacant apartment units for showing and occupancy.
3. Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.
4. Assist with inventory control.
5. Follow safety guidelines and report any obstacles.
6. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
7. Make ready units for new tenants, check appliances, and inform maintenance of issues.
8. Create keys as needed.
9. Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs or replacements.
10. Change A/C filters.
11. Operate carpet cleaning equipment.
12. Assist with trash removal, including moving heavy or bulky items.

Requirements

1. Willingness to perform all required tasks.
2. Knowledge of safety habits.
3. Professional representation of the company.
4. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
5. Availability for on-call work and extended hours, including weekends.
6. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
7. Good social skills to interact with residents.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to sit, stand, climb, and stoop for extended periods.
2. Ability to walk the property in various weather conditions.
3. Ability to climb stairs.
4. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
