Job summary

Juniper Communities in Devon, PA is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to join our team. You will perform day-to-day housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable senior living community.

This is a full-time position with 7 am–3 pm shifts and every other weekend required. The starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow within a values-driven organization that supports mentorship and home-office leadership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial laundry services.
• Experience in a healthcare or service-related industry.
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Responsibilities

• Follow general Environmental Services procedures for housekeeping and laundry.
• Sort, wash, and dry laundry and linen according to procedures.
• Press/iron garments as instructed and maintain clean, safe living areas.
• Clean floors, dust, and assist with residents’ daily laundry needs.

Role

Works within the Environmental Services Team. Perform the day-to-day activities related to housekeeping and laundry services to ensure that the community is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner

Responsibilities

• Follow specific cleaning and laundry procedures as outlined in the Environmental Services Manual.
• Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment.
• Sort, count and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures.
• Press/iron garments as instructed.
• Cleans floors, including sweeping, dusting, and damp/wet mopping.
• Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed.
