Job Description
The EVS Tech II reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Note: This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours or benefits.

Responsibilities:

1. Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other assigned areas daily, including trash removal, changing bed linens, and surface sanitization.
2. Follows policies on patient isolation and contact precautions.
3. Stocks paper items and supplies in designated areas.
4. Maintains cleanliness and functionality of carts and equipment, storing them properly.
5. Promotes safety by using wet floor signs, PPE, and ensuring carts and supplies are attended.
6. Uses chemicals and equipment safely, following proper labeling and dilution protocols.
7. Reports equipment repairs and safety hazards to supervisors.
8. Communicates issues and deficiencies proactively to supervisors or management.
9. Maintains confidentiality and positive relationships with hospital personnel.
10. Utilizes organizational resources efficiently and manages work schedules effectively.
11. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
12. Presents a professional and approachable demeanor.
13. Provides accurate information and timely assistance to patients and visitors.
14. Uses effective service recovery skills to address problems.
15. Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication across departments.

Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Proficiency with department tracking and communication tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical capacity to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• One to three years of environmental services experience in healthcare or hospitality.
