Job summary

Sheppard Pratt seeks a dedicated housekeeping professional to join our multi-disciplinary team in Maryland. You will perform essential cleaning tasks, observe and report damages, and maintain equipment and supplies across departments.

Role requires ability to read, write, and speak English, and prior housekeeping experience is preferred. The position involves substantial walking and lifting up to 20 lbs, with opportunities for professional development and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• Previous work experience in a housekeeping role strongly preferred.
• Experience stripping, buffing, shampooing floors and extracting carpet strongly preferred.
• Significant walking and lifting up to 20 lbs required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of housekeeping duties: observe and report broken or damaged furnishings and equipment; maintain equipment and supplies.
• Depending on assignment, communicate with patients/clients based on specific training.
• Attend departmental meetings and training sessions; may deliver, set up, or break down chairs for meetings.
