Position Purpose And Summary

The Housekeeper position must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.

Major / Key Job Duties

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
• Cleans assigned guest rooms following company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards.
• Stocks carts and cart rooms as needed or directed by management.
• Reports all maintenance issues to the front desk or manager on duty.
• Reports guest property left in check-out rooms to the front desk or manager on duty.
• Assists with guest requests whenever possible and practical.
• Follows all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Completes all required and annual training.

Other Duties

• Assists with cleaning other hotel areas as assigned, such as the breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
• Ensures overall hotel cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

• Understands instructions, policies, and guidelines; communicates effectively with management and staff.
• Follows guidelines, meets time objectives, and adheres to productivity standards.
• Uses good judgment at all times.

Environmental Job Requirements

• Remain stationary, mobile, navigate the hotel, handle objects, reach, and detect scents and sounds.
• Access low areas, work at heights, balance, and bend, kneel, or crouch.
• Push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Detect items in guest rooms for safety and work performance.
• Work outdoors occasionally; work in humid, wet conditions, near moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, or risk of electrical shock.
• Work in moderate to loud noise environments.
• Travel within a reasonable area if needed.
