Job summary

Shores Nursing and Rehab Center in Port St. Joe, Florida, is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout our facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, waste disposal, and maintaining logs; candidates must read, write and speak English and be able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Level 2 fingerprinting with Eligible status.
• English language proficiency required (read, write, speak).
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, families and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping duties: cleaning, disinfecting, dusting, vacuuming and mopping.
• Empty and sanitize waste areas and maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and common areas.
• Clean and polish furniture, fixtures and equipment and maintain documentation/logs as directed.
• Report issues to supervisors and assist with special housekeeping projects as needed.
