Job summary

Northridge Village in Ames, IA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Assisted Living Team. This role maintains the facility’s general cleanliness to ensure a sanitary, infection-free environment and supports resident comfort and safety.

The position offers full-time and part-time opportunities with shifts starting at 6am and running to 2:30 pm. We provide a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive, family-like work culture oriented toward seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in housekeeping is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and living areas according to schedules.
• Clean and sanitize common areas including hallways, dining rooms and lounges.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and disinfect all assigned areas.
• Empty trash and replace liners; restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with laundry duties and transport linens.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and use of PPE; report maintenance concerns.
• Ensure apartments are ready for new admissions or transfers.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and leadership.
