Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV seeks an Environmental Services Worker to maintain patient areas and facilities in clean, orderly condition. 40-hour work week with varied shifts; non-exempt status; strong teamwork and reliability required.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and public areas, replenishing supplies, making beds, and following safety regulations. Education: high school diploma or equivalent; experience is not required but preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow written work assignments.
• Scheduled to work 40 hours per week.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and ensure areas are clean and in good repair; report problems.
• Clean all assigned areas (patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, OR rooms, offices) per procedures.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Make beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintain equipment in clean, working condition; report problems.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.

3. Removes trash from all assigned areas.
4. Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
5. Makes beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
6. Maintains assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
7. Moves equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
8. Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.

1. Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
