Job summary

Decatur Memorial Hospital is seeking a detailed Housekeeper to support on-site sanitation and supply restocking across designated areas. You will follow Environmental Services and Infection Prevention protocols to maintain a clean, safe healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires the ability to lift and perform moderate physical tasks; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Job Description Summary

The Housekeeper performs daily cleaning, sanitation, and supply restocking within assigned areas throughout Decatur Memorial Hospital and its affiliated properties. All duties are completed in accordance with established Environmental Services and Infection Prevention & Control procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Schedule

8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Alternating schedule consisting of three 11.5-hour shifts per week (approximately 40.5 hours weekly) 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM One 6-hour shift scheduled per pay period Weekend Rotation Includes one 12-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday per pay period

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Pay Transparency

$15.50 - $21.44 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
