Job summary

The Broadmoor at Creekside Park in Spring, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled cleaning tasks under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor. This role supports maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff within an institutional setting.

Responsibilities include mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, and general upkeep of patient rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience using floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily in line with facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in correct portions and may mop floors.
• Empties trash and disposes of waste in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Cleans and dries windows using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Reviews Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and enforces it.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
