**Responsibilities**

**Position Summary:**

This position provides routine cleaning of hospital units, offices, surgery units, doctor's offices, restrooms, and public areas. Provides floor care (carpet and hard floor) cleaning and maintenance (stripping/refinishing and bonneting/extracting) as assigned. Patient room cleaning as required.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ A minimum of a high school diploma is preferred for this position.

+ Ability to read, write legibly, communicate and understand English.

+ Must have knowledge of basic housekeeping practices and procedures, experience in the proper handling of infectious waste
