Bethesda in Willmar, MN seeks a Housekeeper to keep assigned areas clean, sanitized, and aseptic. You will scrub, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain supply areas. Reports to Environmental Services Supervisor and interacts with nursing staff, maintenance, residents and their families.

Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., every other weekend and holiday; both part-time and full-time roles are available. Dress code includes scrubs, Bethesda shirts, and specified footwear.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary: Keep assigned areas clean, sanitized, and aseptic by scrubbing, mopping, spot cleaning window washing, carpet vacuuming, dusting, and other typical housekeeping tasks. Keep workstations carts and supply areas clean and well stocked.

Job Relationships:

  • Reports to: Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Internal Contacts: Nursing Staff, Maintenance, and Residents and Scheduling.
  • External Contacts: Residents, family, and friends.

Hours of Work: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Every other Weekend and Every other holiday. Part-time and full-time hours available.

Dress Code: Clean, fitted scrubs in solid colors or simple patterns. Bethesda shirts. Black, khaki, or jeans with no holes or rips. Footwear: Closed-toe, comfortable, slip-resistant shoes. Hair and Hygiene:Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, oral hygiene and deodorant. Neatly tied back if long. Identification:Visible name badge, worn on chest area. PPE:Compliance with facility guidelines for masks, gloves, goggles, etc. if applicable. Piercings:Covered or removed if posing infection or safety risk. Tattoos:Covered if unprofessional or offensive. General Appearance:Clean, well-maintained attire.

Responsibility: Clean Spa Tub or Shower Room.

  • Empty garbage.
  • Supply toilet paper hand towel check soap and batteries.
  • Clean the outside of whirlpool once a week.
  • Sweep and mop floor.

  • Bring cleaning supplies up and stock shelves.
  • Keep vacant rooms ready for new residents.
  • Report needed repairs to maintenance.
  • Adjust to schedule changes.
  • Clean windows twice a year – Spring and Fall. Spot clean as necessary.
  • Visit assigned resident on a regular basis. (Recommended 5 minutes a day)

Professional and Personal Growth:

  • Attend in-service and mandatory meetings are required.
  • Observe all personnel policies.
  • Conduct self in a professional, friendly manner regarding contact with resident’s family and staff.
