Job summary

Westgate Historic Williamsburg Resort in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a Housekeeper to clean and inspect rooms, corridors, and related areas to high standards. You will support guest satisfaction by promptly addressing cleaning needs and following established safety procedures.

The role requires physical work, weekend and holiday availability, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug test to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Team members must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Follow instructions without close supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Pass a background screen, a drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms and inspect halls in hotels/timeshares/restaurants.
• Meet quality and timeliness standards for cleaning assigned rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness to achieve a 90%+ unit inspection score.
• Perform room cleaning tasks (bathrooms, kitchens, living areas).
• Report Lost & Found items and support guest satisfaction.
• Support team and duties as needed.

Job Description

What You'll Do as a Housekeeper

As a Housekeeper at Westgate Resorts you will Cleans rooms and inspects, halls in commercial establishments such as Hotels and Timeshare and restaurants, by performing the following duties. You will demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.

• Consistently meet quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of all assigned rooms.
• Achieve a productivity goal of 12 credits per day, with credits assigned based on the size and type of service required.
• Deliver to our guest rooms free of critical defects by maintaining a unit inspection score of 90% or above, adhering to the resort's established guidelines.
• Perform room cleaning tasks, including stripping units, removing all trash, and cleaning various areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, closets, and decks.
• Utilize equipment and supplies responsibly, following established procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Immediately report any Lost & Found items, adhering to established protocols to assist in guest satisfaction.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and be willing to assist with other duties as necessary to support the team.
• Other duties may be assigned, contributing to the overall success and excellence of our housekeeping operations.
