Job summary

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut, is seeking several housekeepers to help maintain the presentation of our campus and create a clean, welcoming environment for staff, students, and visiting artists during the summer season. The position is full or part time, immediate through December, with pay at $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include room inventory, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, restocking supplies, and assisting the facilities crew; a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training, no experience required.
• Basic internet and computer skills preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing daily inventory of rooms, arrivals and departures for timely resetting of living quarters.
• Laundering linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, changing bed linens, restocking supplies.
• Monitoring inventory of supplies and alert Head of Housekeeping when reorders are necessary.
• Assisting the facilities crew in maintaining campus cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned

Housekeeper

Reports to: Head of Housekeeping

Department: Operations

Compensation: $18.00/hour

Dates: Full and Part time, Immediate through end of December

The Housekeeping Staff is an integral part of the O'Neill’s overall campus operations. We seek several team-oriented individuals to help maintain the presentation of our campus, and aid in creating a clean and welcoming environment for staff, students, and artists throughout the summer season.

Responsibilities include

• Reviewing daily inventory of rooms, arrivals, and departures to ensure timely and efficient resetting of various living quarters on campus


• Performing a variety of tasks on a daily basis, including but not limited to laundering linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, changing bed linens, restocking supplies


• Monitoring inventory of supplies needed for daily tasks, alerting Head of Housekeeping when reorders are necessary


• Assisting the facilities crew in maintaining the cleanliness of the overall campus environment


• Other duties as assigned

• Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods of time, and capable of lifting up to 45 lbs.


• A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
