Job summary

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center is seeking a Housekeeper to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment on our campus during the summer season. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, laundering linens, and assisting the facilities crew to support staff, students, and artists.

Full and part-time positions are available immediately through December, with training provided and no prior experience required. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training, no experience required.
• Basic internet and computer skills preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and capable of lifting up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing daily inventory of rooms, arrivals, and departures to ensure timely and efficient resetting of various living quarters on campus
• Performing a variety of tasks on a daily basis, including but not limited to laundering linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, changing bed linens, restocking supplies
• Monitoring inventory of supplies needed for daily tasks, alerting Head of Housekeeping when reorders are necessary
• Assisting the facilities crew in maintaining the cleanliness of the overall campus environment
• Other duties as assigned

Housekeeper

Reports to: Head of Housekeeping

Department: Operations

Compensation: $18.00/hour

Dates: Full and Part time, Immediate through end of December

The Housekeeping Staff is an integral part of the O’Neill’s overall campus operations. We seek several team-oriented individuals to help maintain the presentation of our campus, and aid in creating a clean and welcoming environment for staff, students, and artists throughout the summer season.

Responsibilities include:
