Job summary

Northern Riverview Healthcare Center in Haverstraw, NY is hiring a Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents in a 180-bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility.

Responsibilities include sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, vacuuming, handling trash, keeping carts tidy, logging cleaned areas, and reporting equipment or resident condition issues to supervision. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust mop and mop floors per guidelines.
• Change and remove trash according to procedures.
• Vacuum all areas as assigned.

• Notify supervisor when supplies are low.
• Keep housekeeping carts clean and in good condition.
• Properly store equipment, tools and supplies.
• Keep log of areas cleaned.
• Report any mechanical issues or resident condition concerns to supervisor.

DUTIES:

• Knows how to sweep, dust mop and mop floors
• Knows how to change and remove trash.
• Knows how to vacuum
• Knows how to follow cleaning guidelines.
• Notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
• Keeps Housekeeping carts clean and in good working order.
• Properly stores equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Keeps a log of areas that are cleaned
• Reports any mechanical or equipment condition to supervisor.
• Reports any questionable resident conditions to supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• One-year experience working with laundry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work as a team member.
• Must be able to work weekends
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently.
• Positive and upbeat attitude
