Job Description

The Housekeeping Guest Service Representative (GSR) is responsible for maintaining a positive guest experience by preparing clean and comfortable rooms within a specified timeframe and according to Red Roof Inn’s brand standards. This role is vital to ensure quality service, uphold our Hassle-Free Guarantee, and work collaboratively with the hotel team to maintain room quality, safety, and security.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain positive guest interactions and provide special services upon request.
• Clean rooms to meet Red Roof Inn’s standards, including stripping guest rooms of terry and linen, changing and making beds, cleaning bathrooms and vanity areas, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Communicate daily room information, maintenance issues, lost and found items, and discrepancies between stayovers and checkouts with the front desk.
• Inspect room fixtures and accessories for proper operation and report concerns to maintenance and the front desk.
• Restock the cart daily and keep it and storage areas tidy.
• Set heating/cooling equipment to appropriate settings.
• Perform self-room inspections and accept feedback from quality inspections by management and team members.
• Comply with all safety and security standards, including OSHA regulations.
• Cross-train in laundry, maintenance, and front desk duties if possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Some administrative duties, such as using timekeeping systems and preparing room reports.
