Job summary

Bridge Crest Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our care team in maintaining clean and safe public areas and resident rooms. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow safety protocols, and reliable communication with supervising staff.

The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning, assist with sanitation, and support a compassionate, team-driven environment focused on high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.

Compensation: $17.50-$19.00/hour (DOE)

• Education and/or Experience

Physical Demands

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching

• Repetitive motion tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
• Use of cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to needs
