Job summary

Cunningham Children’s Home in Urbana, IL is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across campus. This role also supports laundry services as needed and ensures daily operations run smoothly.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. Responsibilities include cleaning on and off campus, operating floor buffers and vacuums, and completing tasks such as carpet extraction and floor stripping.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to operate floor buffers and carpet extractors.
• Basic English fluency required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in Cunningham Children’s Home buildings on and off the main campus according to established schedules and quality standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuums.
• Complete specialty cleaning tasks such as carpet extraction, spray buffing, and stripping/waxing floors.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supply levels in designated areas.
• Support laundry operations using commercial washers and dryers when needed.
• Follow all agency safety procedures and maintain confidentiality standards.

Cunningham Children’s Home is seeking a Housekeeper to support the cleanliness and daily operations of our campus! This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across agency facilities while supporting laundry services as needed.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8-hour shifts

Cunningham is an exemplary child welfare and educational services agency that provides caring support and therapeutic intervention to more than 953 children, youth, young adults and families each year through comprehensive programs including residential treatment, special education and community-based services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in Cunningham Children’s Home buildings on and off the main campus according to established schedules and quality standards
• Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuums
