Reports To: Head of Housekeeping

Department: Operations

Summary: The primary objective of the Housekeeper is be responsible for taking care of a building's general cleanliness and assigned areas to provide tidy and sanitary amenities to guests. Their duties include cleaning floors, making beds, and dusting surfaces throughout the facility to the company standards. $16.50 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans facility areas including, but not limited to, guestrooms, lobby, corridors, elevators, laundry facility, house laundry, stairways, exterior, etc. according to company standards and within required time frames.
• Understand company policy on work shifts, guest possessions, and privacy issues.
• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and rearranging the room after guest check out.
• Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service.
• Report cases of property damage to the supervisor.
• Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift.
• Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass.
• Collect and remove trash and debris and transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing, and storing linen.
• The report, turn in, and log all lost and found items.
• Strictly adheres to safety & security policies to ensure personal safety, the safety of the guest and their belongings, and company property.
• Use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• At least one year of experience with housekeeping
• Willingness to perform manual labor and consistently move about the facility
• Physical ability to work extended periods
