Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $17.00/hr

Introduction to Role

A housekeeper’s responsibility is to perform various cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. The housekeeper also ensures that all rooms are cared for and inspected according to resort standards. All vacation rentals, common areas, bathrooms, etc., are to be clean, guest-ready, and inspected to meet property standards.

Responsibilities

1. Cleaning:
   • Clean guest rooms, rentals, communal areas, and bathhouses including dusting, polishing, linen changes, bathroom sanitation, kitchen cleaning, trash removal, vacuuming, and floor cleaning.
   • Strip and make beds.
   • Ensure rooms and rentals exceed standards and are ready before guest arrival.
2. Laundry:
   • Support laundry activities including washing, drying, folding, and sorting laundry.
3. Guest Service:
   • Respond to guest queries and requests with excellent customer service.
4. Teamwork:
   • Collaborate with other departments to exceed guest expectations.
   • Maintain a clean, orderly, and guest-ready property.
   • Perform other duties as assigned.
   • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
5. Safety Guidelines:
   • Follow health and safety rules and company practices.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping experience, preferably in hospitality (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand, walk, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance.
• Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Frequently lift and/or move 25-50 pounds.
• Have specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
