Job summary

Sodalis Senior Living in New York is seeking a diligent Housekeeper to maintain the community interiors and resident apartments in a clean, sanitary, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning common areas and dining rooms, laundering linens, and following sanitation procedures. Experience in Assisted Living is a plus, with a friendly, team-oriented approach valued.

Qualifications

• 1 year: Housekeeping/cleaning experience in settings such as Assisted Living or Senior Living facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping for the Community and resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change beds and linens, and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment.
• Perform deep cleaning of apartments as needed, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens by washing and drying in the provided facilities.
• Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures.

Job description

In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents' apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.

• Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments. This includes but is not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.


• Resident apartments also include cleaning and defrosting refrigerators (as needed), cleaning and checking heat system filters etc., changing bed the bed and linens, and ensuring adequate linen supplies in each apartment. Turn mattress (with assistance) as necessary and empty waste baskets.


• Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed. Pay special attention to the main entry area, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows and light fixtures.


• Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided.


• Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures.
