Job summary

The Pearl of St. Charles is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform day‑to‑day housekeeping tasks in a post‑acute care environment. The role offers full‑time hours from 11AM to 7PM and competitive wages with benefits.

You will work closely with nursing staff to ensure residents’ rooms and common areas remain clean, safe, and comfortable, while following all safety standards and procedures. Pearl Healthcare provides a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals, etc.
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily cleaning schedules and maintain cleanliness.
• Coordinate housekeeping with nursing services for resident areas.
• Clean and sanitize fixtures, vents, and bathroom features.
• Clean floors: sweep, mop, strip, wax, and disinfect.
• Report safety concerns and protect residents' information.

Description:

The primary purpose of the Housekeeper is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department

Shift Details:

• Full Time - 11AM - 7PM

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or residential areas
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures etc.
• Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting etc.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner
• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Skilled Nursing Facility Expereince (Preferred)
