Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Shallotte, NC is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe living spaces for residents and staff. You will clean apartments, common areas, and amenities, and perform laundry duties as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas and residents' apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform all housekeeping duties including: distributing laundered articles and linens; changing beds; cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; dusting furniture and equipment; polishing metalwork; washing walls and windows.
• Perform laundry duties: washing and drying resident laundry and textiles; folding and/or hanging laundry; distributing laundered articles and linens; changing bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors and checking lint traps.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas; coordinate with maintenance for clean dumpster areas; report issues promptly.
• May perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.

• Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform all housekeeping duties including:
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Changing beds
  • Cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Dusting furniture and equipment
  • Polishing metalwork
  • Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
• Performs all laundry duties, including:
  • Washing and drying resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances
  • Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Changing bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
• Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s).
• Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean.
• Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed.
• Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $15.00/hr - $18.00/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
